Sun Burnette
Sun Burnette doesn't just make music, they create a world. The San Diego-based queer-led indie pop-rock band blends cinematic energy with sharp, narrative lyrics and sun-drenched melodies that hit immediately and stay with you longer. Their name says it all: part sunburn, part burnout, part Anette showing a multi-layered identity woven directly into their sound and their story.
Their debut single "Totally Not Personal" landed them on multiple "Artists to Watch" lists, and launched a run of SoCal shows that proved they're just as magnetic live as on record. Most recently they opened for Minitrees on tour — and held their own.
Sun Burnette is deep into recording their debut EP, due late this year. Cinematic, personal, and rooted in the queer brown experience — euphoric highs, reflective lows, and everything in between. San Diego can't contain them much longer.
